Lewis F. Jones III, O.D.
Dr. Lewis F Jones III received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989. He was awarded the U.S. Army Heath Professions Scholarship to attend the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago,Illinois where he graduated with highest honors in 1993. During his training in Chicago, he received numerous academic achievement and clinical excellence awards.
He started his career serving as a medical officer in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia. His hospital based training at Martin Army Hospital allowed him to become an assistant clinical professor for the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Houston. Since his honorable discharge from the Army, he has been in private practice for the last ten years, working in various locations including a corneal and LASIK specialty practice based St. Louis, Missouri. Over the years, Dr. Jones has acquired extensive experience in several areas of eye care including laser vision correction consultation, glaucoma treatment, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, eye injuries, and corneal diseases. Dr. Jones has been a senior examiner on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for several years. He is responsible for testing the skills of potential optometric professionals before they receive their state licenses. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Assoication, Southwestern Illinois Optometric Society, and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness and the Barnes Care Network. |
Stephanie R. Goggin O.D.
Dr. Stephanie R. Goggin, a southwestern Illinois native, joined Metro Eye Care in April 2008 with eight years of private practice experience. Dr. Goggin received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While finishing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, she completed clinical rotations in ocular disease at Scott Air Force Base and the Marion VA Hospital. Dr. Goggin was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society while at UMSL. In addition to graduating with honors, she received a Clinical Excellence Award for her work in contact lenses.
She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. She is diagnostically and therapeutically certified to treat eye disease. Dr. Goggin has served for several years as an Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and has experience in glaucoma treatment, diabetic examinations, and pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK surgery. |
Alicia Triplett-Janssen O.D.
Dr. Alicia Triplett-Janssen attended the University of Missouri- St. Louis- College of Optometry for her Doctorate of Optometry. While attending UMSL she was President of the Missouri Optometric Student Association. She was also involved in Students Volunteering Optometric Services to Humanity and Gold Key. Dr. Triplett-Janssen completed her clinical rotations in ocular disease and surgical co-management at the St. Louis VA Hospital and Carl Albert Native American Health Services in Ada, Oklahoma.
She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association. When she is out of the office, she partakes in mission trips bringing professional eye care to less fortunate areas of the world. Her interests include running, volunteering at church, traveling, and spending time with family. Dr. Triplett-Janssen enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has experience in geriatric eye care, eye care of special needs patients, surgical co-management, and fitting of contact lenses. |
