Lewis F. Jones III, O.D.

Dr. Lewis Jones, the eye specialist at Metro Eye Care, has been in active practice for over 13 years. He was voted one of "America's Top Optometrists" for 2004-2005. He is, also, a Senior Examiner for the National Board of Optometry. Dr. Jones started his career as a U.S. Army medical officer,seeing patients in a large Army medical center, and occasionally, deploying in a large mobile Army hospital. After his honorable discharge from the Army , in 1996, , he started into to private practice. Dr. Jones' philosophy on eye care is simple...He believes that he must offer his patients the most current, state-of-the-art care and do so, in an honest and compassionate manner. He has extensive experience in all aspects of eye diseases and disorders. He, also, enjoys taking more than the required yearly continuing medical education.

Dr. Jones completed his bachelor of science degree studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989. He then attended the Illinois College of Optometry, in Chicago, for four more years and graduated, in 1993, with high honors.
